Most authors in the field of Shi'a interpretive methods and tendencies have considered narrative interpretations to be non-ijtihad interpretations whose authors, without any reflection, have simply collected narrations that often directly refer to some of the words and phrases of the verses. In this article, we aim to reject the aforementioned view and show that the authors of Shi'a narrative interpretations, like other commentators, have been influenced by the contextual conditions in understanding the verses, and have engaged in their ijtihad in seeking the use of reason as a source and tool, and have expressed their interpretative views in the form of selecting sources and narrations. The best way to achieve this goal is to compare these interpretations with each other and pay attention to their different positions. The result of comparing the early and late Shi'a interpretations; Qomi, Ayyashi, Furat Kufi, Safi Fayz-Kashani, Burhan Bahrani and Nur al-Thaqlain Huwizi in the field of jurisprudential, theological and Quranic sciences issues indicates the differences in these interpretations in eleven basic issues. These issues are as follows: the permissibility or impermissibility of interacting with the Sultan, Friday prayers, tribute, khums, the infallibility of the prophets, the miracles of the Quran, Meccan and Medinan, abrogated and abrogated, distortion of the Quran, differences in readings, and the causes of revelation.
