The present study takes a different look at the concept of empathy as one of life skills and examines the path of growth and development of empathy that this path can lead to the perfection of empathy, ie self-sacrifice. To achieve this goal, the views of the Quran and the views of religious and psychological scientists on empathy and self-sacrifice were collected and examined using a conceptual analysis. Following this semantic analysis, the semantic domains of empathy in Quran, Islamic and psychology texts were identified and new concepts were identified. The results showed that empathy has a semantic relationship with the concepts of help, forgiveness, charity, beneficence and self-sacrifice in Islamic texts. One of the most important concepts related to empathy is self-sacrifice, which is the culmination of empathy. Sacrifice is a valuable word that derives from empathy. for moving from empathetic behaviors toward self-sacrifice, islamic education, trimming from negligence, self-harm and moral degradation, reinforcement of soft-heartfelt, challenging negative imaginations about self-sacrifice, teaching skills and ethical attributes related to self-sacrifice, modeling and reinforcement the sacred communication behavior, and understanding the God's truth to move from empathy to self-sacrifice it is suggested.
